It is believed that the milk of Desi (Indian Breeds) of Cows has more A2 protein, and hence the ghee made solely from the milk of Desi cows is termed as A2 Desi Cow ghee. Pure A2 Gir cow’s milk is used to make this nutritional Gir Cow Ghee. This A2 Cultured Ghee provides all the essential good fats which help in maintaining a healthy heart.

Purest type of Desi Cow Ghee is known as the A2 Cow Ghee, which can only be produced using pure A2 milk (A2 Cow milk) from cows originating in India or generally referred to as Desi Cows.

Why is A2 Desi Gir Cow Ghee so expensive?
A2 protein is produced by the milk from the desi cows (Indian cows). All these cows are native Indian cows and they commonly have a hump on their back while the European breeds (HF, Jersey, and others) don't have the hump. European cows produce about 12-18 liters of milk while Desi Indian Cows produce about 4-7 liters of milk. Most dairy companies (big and small) employ non-Indian breeds for large production & profits. A lot of commercial companies make ghee using the cream taken from the milk while it takes approx 30 kgs of curd to make 1 kg of A2 Desi Gir Cow Ghee.
